Peace On Earth

I am writing this as my first ever Blog, I will probably ramble a lot, and use bad spelling and punctuation, gut here goes.

I am writing this in response to the lack of any real comments from the US government on the violence in the streets of Egypt. I have several friend in Egypt and at least one of them has been hurt seriously by the violence in Egypt. The US government has to speak up publicly and very loud that the military in Egypt has to stop the violence against the protestors in Egypt.

I can understand why the military does not want to give up power in Egypt. For over 50 years they have been in power and they have gotten very rich running many of the industries and making themselves the center of Egyptian political power. The people of Egypt have spoken through the voices of the protestors, they want control of their county.

The US government has to support the protestors in Egypt and a help they get their chance and freedom. This may not turn out the way we want it to, we may see a radical government take over Egypt. However, it we do not support the protestors, we are creating a greater chance that a government that is opposed to the US will take power. The US and Europe are seen as the governments that have held back freedom in the middle east to promote our interests in the region.

The only way we have a real chance for these people to create a free government is to support them and provide support for them like we have for their dictators. Then we will see a free government in the countries that will be our friend.

Let us hope for Peace On Earth and Freedom for everyone in the new Year.
